MARYVILLE, Mo. - The Maryville City Council will have a difficult decision to make in the future.
At Monday night's meeting, the city council discussed the water and sewer rate after NewGen Strategies & Solutions completed a rate study late last month, the first since 2005.
If raised all at once, customer's bills would jump about $17, with 3% increases after that for five years. That's why the city council is looking at spreading that increase over two or three years.
While no action was taken by the city council, they could approve a rate increase plan at one of their next two meetings.
