Nebraska City Council approves contract with Bird

NEBRASKA CITY, Neb. - Nebraska City residents will have a new way to get around town. At it's latest meeting, the Nebraska City Council awarded a contract to Bird, who will provide mobile scooters for residents to rent across town.

City Administrator Louis Leone told KXCV/KRNW that the city will get 50 scooters to start this week, but the city will gradually get more as time goes on.

However, the max number of scooters the city will get is capped at 75. Also during the meeting, the city council approved a revised step pay plan for the budget and an animal impound agreement with a area veterinarian.
