KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) - New data dashboards are offering detailed information about health inequities in Missouri, including information for specific ZIP codes across the state.
The Missouri Hospital Association launched the Health Equity Dashboards on Monday. It shows, for example, that Black people in Kansas City and St. Louis suffer from asthma at twice the rate of white people.
Dave Dillon, spokesman for the hospital association, said the dashboard shows where health inequities exist and how targeted efforts could improve outcomes.
The dashboards were created from 41 million individual hospital claims of 5.4 million Missourians, nearly 90% of the state's residents.
