HOPKINS, Mo. - At the latest North Nodaway R-6 Board of Education meeting, staff were labeled as essential workers to help fight absences during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Superintendent Chris Turpin told KXCV/KRNW that this not only helps teachers and staff, but is meant mostly to help the kids so students have consistent learning environments.
The label also gives them the ability to NOT use their paid sick leave days whenever they need to quarantine.
