Teen seriously injured in Harrison County wreck

BETHANY, Mo. - The Missouri State Highway Patrol says a teenager is in serious condition after a single-vehicle wreck in Harrison County.

The Patrol says the 17-year-old male crashed a 1996 Dodge 1500 on Jade Road, half a mile northwest of Bethany, at 3:24 p.m. Thursday.

Authorities say he failed to negotiate a curve and the Dodge traveled off the side of the road, struck an embankment, and overturned.

The teen, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was transported to Harrison County Community Hospital with serious injuries.
