Agency man injured in two-vehicle wreck

ST JOSEPH, Mo. - The Missouri State Highway Patrol says an Agency man is in serious condition after a two-vehicle wreck in Buchanan County. The Patrol says 34-year-old Steven Brown crashed on I-229, north of Route A, at 9:30 p.m. Friday.

Authorities say Brown was driving a 2007 Dodge Charger that struck the rear of a towed unit on a 1997 Ford F-250, driven by 64-year-old Joe Melton, of St. Joseph.

The Dodge then traveled off the side of the and overturned. Brown, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was transported to Mosaic Life Care in Saint Joseph with serious injuries. Melton, who was wearing a seatbelt, had no injuries.
