ST. JOSEPH, Mo. - Two teenage boys are in serious condition after a wreck in Buchanan County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol says a 17-year-old from St. Joseph was driving a 2014 Ford Mustang on MO 6 Highway, three miles east of St. Joseph, with a 16-year-old passenger from Stewartsville.
At 4:15 p.m. Wednesday the Mustang traveled off the highway, went airborne, struck a stop sign, then traveled down an embankment and overturned.
The teenagers, who were both wearing seatbelts, were taken to Mosaic Life Care in St. Joseph with serious injuries by a private vehicle.
