MARYVILLE, Mo. - Maryville residents may be in for some sticker shock next year.
At Monday night's meeting, the Maryville City Council approved a water-sewer rate increase, spread out over the next two years. City Manager Greg McDanel says the recommended rate increase comes from New-Gen Strategies & Solutions.
The increase comes after a month of discussion on how to increase water-sewer rates.
Two other plans included one large increase in one year or smaller increases over three years. The two-year rate increase was a compromise between the two other plans.
