CRESTON, Iowa - At its latest meeting, the Creston City Council worked with FEMA Homeland Security to get grant funding for a backup generator to be installed at the wastewater treatment plant.
City Administrator Mike Taylor says the council has been told that Creston is in line for that grant in the next year to 18 months.
In other news, the Parks and Recreation Board will hold their annual fundraising event, Party in the Park, a concert where multiple bands perform over the July 4 weekend.
