Northwest Missouri State defensive lineman Sam Roberts wrecked offensive lines all year line, and today he received the MIAA's highest honor for a player on that side of the ball.
Roberts is the MIAA Defensive Player of the Year.
The senior from Waynesville, Missouri produced 13.5 tackles for loss and five sacks through the regular season, both marks among the top five in the conference.
Along with Roberts, First Team All-MIAA Bearcats included running back Al McKeller, left tackle Tanner Owen, defensive lineman Zach Howard, linebacker Jackson Barnes and defensive back Cahleel Smith.
Second Team members included wide receiver Alec Tatum and left guard Gabe Bautz.
Quarterback Mike Hohensee, center Mitch Goff and linebacker Sam Phillips all garnered third team all-conference.
