JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. - Changes are coming to many conservation areas across Missouri.
Late last year, the Missouri Conservation Commission approved changes that would allow the expanded use of bicycles and electric bicycles on many roads and trails.
Recreational Use Program Lead for the Missouri Department of Conservation Amy Buechler says there are specifics on what kind of electric bikes can be used.
Buechler adds there are three classes of electric bikes and they are allowing all three. This change goes into effect on Feb. 28.
