ST. JOSEPH, Mo. - The Missouri Department of Transportation will begin work on several bridges next week in St. Joseph.
On Monday, Jan. 31 contractors from Comanche Construction will be placing a new overlay, repairing some substructure elements and replacing guardrails at the Pony Express Bridges over the Missouri River on Route 36.
Construction will happen in two stages, with the first stage lasting through mid-July and stage two lasting from mid-July through November.
MODoT encourage drivers to slow down, move over in work zones, and follow detours when they happen.
