Two Chillicothe residents arrested in connection with toddler death

CHILLICOTHE, Mo. - Two Chillicothe residents are under arrest after the death of a two-year-old.

Christopher Wilson. 46, and Avery Young, 22, were arrested this week following a toddler's death on Christmas Eve. Chillicothe police say officers were dispatched to a residence on Dec. 24 to assist with an unresponsive child.

The child was later pronounced dead by the Livingston County Coroner's Office. After further investigation, Wilson and Young were arrested Jan. 4.

Both are expected to be charged with first-degree murder while Young is also expected to be charged with abuse or neglect of a child resulting in death, abandonment of a corpse, possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. No other details have been released.
