Chillicothe city council discusses senior housing project

CHILLICOTHE, Mo. - A new senior housing project is popping up in Chillicothe.

At this week's city council meeting, the council changed the zone type to allow for contracting a portion of the old Chillicothe Women’s Prison property.

City Clerk Roze Frampton says the Timber Villas 2 will still need surveying and platting before construction can start, which could begin by the end of summer 2022.

In other business, the City Council discussed the specific dog breed ban ordinance and Frampton is hopeful that a vote will take place at one of their next two meetings.
