CHILLICOTHE, Mo. - The Livingston County Sheriff's Office are investigating a shooting that happened just outside Chillicothe city limits.
The Sheriff's Office says preliminary information suggests one man was allegedly intoxicated and arguing with another man at 5:11 p.m. Tuesday near East Polk St. and Route V.
The intoxicated man reportedly became angry and charged the other man, who then discharged a handgun striking the intoxicated man in the leg.
The man who was shot was treated, released and then taken into custody for alleged parole violations. Chillicothe police and Missouri Probation and Parole are assisting with this case.
No other information has been released and no charges have been filed.
