ST. JOSEPH, Mo. - A statue in St. Joseph has gone missing. The Allied Arts Council of Saint Joseph is asking the public for help locating the bronze statue called "Espiritru Libre," that once stood outside of the Missouri Theater.
The Allied Arts Council says it was stolen from its base on February 4, sometime between 7:30 p.m. and 9 p.m.
The statue was part of a previous sculpture walk, where every year, the Allied Arts Council purchases one sculpture and donates it to the city to help build up the city’s number of statues.
Anyone who has information about the missing statue is urged to call police at 816-271-4777.
