DES MOINES, Iowa - The Iowa Department of Natural Resources popular "Trees For Kids" grant program is currently accepting applications.
The grant helps cover the cost of planting trees, awarding up to $2,500. A requirement for the grant is that the trees be planted on public property.
Urban Forestry Program Specialist with the Iowa DNR Gabriele Edwards explains the other requirement; youth involvement.
