CLEAR LAKE, Iowa - The Iowa Department of Natural Resources is reminding waterfowl hunters about a special season. The snow goose migration is currently underway and waterfowl hunters can hunt the birds up until May 1.
Waterfowl Biologist Orrin Jones says population control is just one aspect behind the hunt, another aspect involves helping the arctic habitat.
Jones says hunters will still need a hunting license, habitat fee, state migratory game bird fee and to have completed the harvest information program registration.
