CHILLICOTHE, Mo. - Chillicothe police and the Livingston County Sheriff's Department are thanking mother nature after a recent arrest.
That's because at 10:16 p.m. Sunday, a driver failed to yield to officers for a traffic stop near Mitchell Road and Corporate Drive.
The driver exited the vehicle and fled on foot, but authorities were able to track the man with a fresh layer of snow on the ground for two to three miles.
Truitt Caudill of Wheeling, 37, was arrested and placed in the Daviess DeKalb Regional Jail on resisting arrest, failure to register a motor vehicle, and possession of a controlled substance charges.
Further charges are being sought with the Livingston County Prosecutor’s Office.
