GRANT CITY, Mo. - The Missouri State Highway Patrol says a 46-year-old woman is in serious condition after falling asleep behind the wheel in Worth County.
Amanda Pawling, of King City, was driving a 2015 Ford Explorer on U.S. Highway 169 near 190th Street. The Patrol says at 12:40 p.m. Tuesday, Pawling fell asleep.
The Ford left the road, striking a concrete drainage culvert. Pawling, who wasn't wearing a seat belt, was taken to Mosaic Medical Center in Albany with serious injuries.
