The boat registration expiration deadline is fast approaching and the Iowa Department of Natural Resources is encouraging boaters to get their registrations renewed.
Boating Law Administrator and Education Coordinator for the Iowa DNR, Susan Stocker, says every three years, the boat registration expires and individuals can choose to renew if they want to operate their boat on the water.
Boat registrations will expire tomorrow. Stocker adds that the registration fees supports various programs including the water trails, use of eradicating and controlling aquatic invasive species, assisting law enforcement for navigation, and boat education and safety on the water.
