ST. JOSEPH ,Mo. - The Alfalfa Weevil is being found in northwest Missouri fields and crops.
Field Specialist in Agronomy with the University of Missouri Extension Wayne Flannery says that while these pesky pests are not immediately dangerous, farmers should still keep an eye out for extreme cases.
Flannery explains that the economic threshold for applying insecticides usually rests on the number of one-to-two adult weevils seen per-alfalfa stem.
