Maryville city council approves pilot plant equipment

MARYVILLE, Mo. - The possibility of a new water treatment plant in Maryville took another step forward. At Monday night's meeting, the city council approved a nearly 148,000 dollar contract with Intuitech for pilot plant equipment.

City Manager Greg McDanel says testing will likely take nine months from implementation this fall.

McDanel adds that the pilot plant equipment will be operated by a professional engineering firm through a bidding process.
