KELLERTON, Iowa - The annual Iowa Department of Natural Resources spring chicken survey is underway.
This year's survey has decided to expand data to feather types left by leks, which will be used for genetics studies. Wildlife Biologist with the Iowa DNR Stephanie Shepherd invites people to view the leks during the survey.
The viewing platform is in the Kellerton Bird Conservation Area in Ringgold County.
