CHILLICOTHE, Mo. - At Chillicothe's most recent Board of Education meeting, a bond issue from April for $9 million has finally been approved.
A representative from Stifel and a representative from Gilmore and Bell came in front of the board to inform them about the sale of the bonds, which would generate funds without raising taxes.
The funds will be used for the school district to expand their elementary building to a K-5 building.
Superintendent Dan Wiebers says the district plans to receive the funds next month.KXCV-KRNW
