ST. JOSEPH, Mo. - As things warm up around Missouri many different sorts of pests are also beginning to stir in the soil.
Among them is the Armyworm, which the University of Missouri Insect Trapping System warns has been found in the area.
Field specialist with the University of Missouri Wayne Flanary says that growers should begin inspecting pastures, hayfields, and winter wheat for signs of the destructive bug.
He adds growers might also see brown grass on plants, or find head clippings in the case of wheat. For more information, visit ipm.missouri.edu.
