MARYVILLE, Mo. - Funeral arrangements have been announced for a Northwest Missouri State University assistant professor who lost his battle with cancer earlier this week.
A memorial service for Dr. Daniel Smith is scheduled for Sunday, May 15 at 2 p.m. at the Bram Funeral Home in Maryville.
Dr. Smith had been with Northwest since 1999, teaching multiple classes as well as serving as coach of Northwest's mock trial team and advising the pre-law program, pre-law society, and student senate.
