Groundbreaking for new warehouse in St. Joseph next week

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. - After purchasing the property back in 2016, one St. Joseph company will finally be breaking ground on a new project.

Hillyard Companies will break ground for construction on a new distribution center at the former WireCo WorldGroup site, next Monday, May 23 from 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., with a reception to follow.

Gov. Mike Parson and Lt. Gov. Mike Kehoe are both scheduled to give remarks, alongside local politicians and Hillyard Company executives. The new distribution center is scheduled to open and operate by late 2023.
