Iowa DNR reminding residents about invasive species

DES MOINES, Iowa - Throughout the summer, thousands of campers will be building campfires.

However, the Iowa Department of Natural Resources encourages campers to buy firewood from where they will burn it, instead of bringing it from home, for one big reason.

Tivon Feeley, the Forest Health Program Leader of Iowa DNR, adds that Gov. Kim Reynolds just announced that June as Invasive Species Awareness Month.
