MSHP: Teenager seriously injured in wreck

TRENTON, Mo. - The Missouri State Highway Patrol says a Chillicothe teenager is in the hospital after a single-vehicle crash in Grundy County.

The Patrol says the 17-year-old boy was driving a 1997 Dodge Ram on NW 22nd Ave., about one mile north of Trenton. At 7:19 p.m. Wednesday, the truck slide off the road, struck a ditch and overturned.

The teenager, who wasn't wearing a seatbelt, was originally taken to Wright Memorial Hospital in Trenton before being transferred to St. Lukes on the Plaza in Kansas City.
