MARYVILLE, Mo. - Northwest Missouri State University's Board of Regents met before graduation this week and the dominating topic continues to be the non-renewal of President Dr. John Jasinski's contract.

After new business was taken care of Wednesday afternoon, the Regents opened up the meeting to public comment and they got an earful.

Those comments were made in light of the fact that three Regents, Jason Klindt, Stephen Coppinger and John Moore, claim to be independent.

There was a surprise during the public comments, as Regent Deborah Roach got up to make a comment. She got into a bit of a scuffle with Regent Moore, asking why Jasinski wasn't qualified enough to have his contract renewed.

The Regents took about 32 minutes of public comment before adjourning and going into a closed session.
