Sheriff's Office opens investigation after teen leaves home

MARYVILLE, Mo. - The Nodaway County Sheriff's Office has launched a criminal investigation after a teenager allegedly left her parent's home with a 35-year-old man.

The Sheriff's Office says they were notified the 17-year-old left her parent's house with their consent. Deputies tracked the teen down to Falls City, Neb. where she reportedly went with a 35-year-old man.

The 17-year-old was found safe and returned home, but now Nebraska authorities and Sheriff's Office are investigating the incident. No other details have been released.
