WASHINGTON - When it comes to property taxes, states in our listening area have some of the highest in the country.
According to the financial website WalletHub, Nebraska has the 8th highest property taxes in the U.S., while Iowa is 12th, Kansas is 15th, and Missouri is 25th.
For this study, Wallet-Hub looked at annual taxes, home values, effective real estate tax rate and other metrics. The highest property tax in the country went to New Jersey while the lowest was Hawaii.
