Chillicothe city council agrees on apartment purchase

CHILLICOTHE, Mo. - After several discussions at several city council meetings, a decision has been made in Chillicothe. In a 3-2 vote, the city council agreed to take over the ownership of the low-income Strand Apartments.

City Administrator Roze Frampton says the city is looking forward to working with Zabka Properties. The ultimate goal with the Strand Apartments is to turn them into market rate apartment.
