OMAHA, Neb. - Despite all the rain we've seen the past couple of months in our KXCV/KRNW listening area, things aren't improving along a lot of the Missouri River.
According to the U.S. Army CORPS of Engineers, runoff continues to be below average in the upper Missouri River Basin.
Officials say this is because of persistent dry conditions near the river and because of mountain snowpack melting at slower-than-average rates. At least 60% of the basin remains in some level of drought.
