JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. - The Missouri Department of Agriculture has launched a program for low-income residents.

The Missouri Senior Farmers' Market Nutrition Program and WIC Farmers' Market Nutrition Program have launched for the 2022 season.

According to a press release, these programs provide an opportunity for low-income residents to purchase fresh products grown by Missouri producers.

Low-income residents can apply to receive vouchers which will allow them to purchase eligible foods from an authorized farmer.

Vouchers will be available through September 30 and must be redeemed by October 31. More information can be found at agriculture.mo.gov.
