JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. - Missouri child care providers are claiming victory after Gov. Mike Parson signed a bill to keep the state's child care quality improvement program.
Craig Stevenson, Director of Policy and Advocacies for Kids in Missouri, says that the program has been funded in a much more robust way.
Stevenson says that a federal grant has allowed them to help child care providers fund development of child care from purchasing curriculum for caretakers to physical repairs.
The program is volunteer and if you'd like to get involved you can contact the Office of Childhood to get connected to Missouri's cohorts of child care providers.
