MARYVILLE, Mo. - The Maryville City Council is now without a city councilwoman. After last night's regularly scheduled meeting, Rachael Martin announced her resignation effective at midnight last night.
The reason for the resignation is because her family is moving. As for what happens to the empty seat...
City Manager Greg McDanel adds that process has taken about 20-30 days in the past. During the teary goodbye, the remaining city council members thanked Rachel for her hard work over the years.
