Surveyors to look at next portion of South Main project

construction

MARYVILLE, Mo. - Surveyors with the South Main Corridor Improvement Project in Maryville are in town today. Surveyors will begin marking the east side of Main for construction of concrete curb.

This comes as VF Anderson Builders nears completion for installation of drainage inlets and the storm sewer system which will hopefully reduce local flooding and create safe areas for pedestrians.

VF Anderson is expected to begin cutting, grading and installing curbs within the next two weeks. A rough cut for a new entrance to Walmart will also begin this month.

According to a press release, more news will be issued soon regarding a temporary closure of South Ave. near Main because portions of South Ave. require full-depth replacement of subgrade and pavement.
