OMAHA, Neb. - It looks like water conservation measures along the Missouri River will continue well into 2023.
That's because the latest data from the National Weather Service and U.S. Army Corps of Engineers shows drought conditions persisting across most of the Missouri River basin.
Conservation measures include reduced flow and minimal water releases. Right now, the reservoir levels on the river remain low. Despite the drought, officials say minor flooding along tributaries in Missouri are possible for the next 90 days.
