ROCK PORT, Mo. - The Missouri State Highway Patrol says a semi-truck driver from Nebraska is in serious condition after falling asleep at the wheel before a wreck.
The Patrol says 49-year-old Charles Janzen of Hampton was driving the semi on U.S. Interstate 29, just five miles north of Rock Port.
Right before 11 p.m. Tuesday night, the Patrol says he fell asleep and the semi traveled off the highway. Janzen, who wasn't wearing a seat belt, was taken to Fairfax Hospital with serious injuries.
