MARYVILLE, Mo. - If the candidate forum was any indication, Missouri voters in our listening area are talking about and thinking about abortion.
At Thursday night's candidate forum, put on by the Greater Maryville Chamber of Commerce, Republican and Democratic candidates for U.S. Senate and House, and State Senate and House, were in attendance to take questions from the media and audience.
Media questions for the candidates on the Aug. 2 primary ballot ranged from candidates' values and political ideologies to mental health and education.
But every audience question was about the candidates stance on abortion. Several candidates delivered passionate speeches, with all the conservative candidates being anti-abortion and all the liberal candidates being pro-choice.
