MARYVILLE, Mo. - Teams of students across the University of Missouri System are competing to develop plans for supplying access to affordable high-speed internet to northwestern Missouri.
This competition will come to a head when the three teams of students present their plans on Aug. 20 at the Mozingo Event Center in Maryville.
Joe Lear, Consultant for Broadband Initiatives with University of Missouri Systems, explains that there will be five judges to evaluate the plans and award prizes.
The event, which will also be livestreamed, is free and open to the public.
