Drought conditions continue along parts of the MO River

OMAHA, Neb. - Things are not looking good along parts of the Missouri River.

According to the latest data from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, drought conditions are persisting in the Missouri River Basin despite a slightly higher runoff last month.

Some officials are worried about the coming weeks as August, so far, has seen higher than normal temperatures and lower precipitation.

However, future climate conditions vary, meaning conditions will vary along the river. Around 60 percent of the basin is experiencing drought like conditions.
