FALLS CITY, Neb. - At their latest meeting, the Falls City Public School Board of Education addressed building and grounds improvements.
Superintendent Tim Heckenlively says a company, Sprintturf, is installing new synethic turf at the high school football stadium.
Heckenlively adds that two major roofing replacement projects at North Elementary School and Falls City High School are nearly complete.
In other improvements, the board reviewed the current school safety measures and protocols including their local law enforcement partnership, school perimeter safety, interior security, accessibility, and situational awareness.
These items will be discussed later this month by the school safety committee to consider what additional safety measures could be feasibly implemented in the districts overall safety plan.
