ST. JOSEPH, Mo. - The CDC is recommending vaccinations for people who have been exposed to Monkeypox and people who are at higher risk of being exposed to monkeypox.
City of Saint Joseph Health Department spokeswoman Stephanie Malita says the preferred vaccine to protect against Monkeypox is Jynneos, which is a two-dose vaccine series.
Based on the low positivity rate in Missouri, vaccine availability is limited. To learn more, visit cdc.gov/poxvirus/monkeypox/index.html.
