Iowa DNR offering seedlings this week

DES MOINES, Iowa - The Iowa Department of Natural Resources Forest Nursery is gearing up for seedling orders. Residents can start buying seedlings this Thursday.

The D-N-R will be taking orders through May 30. The bare-root seedlings are packaged in bundles of 25 inside sealed and labeled plast bags.

Tree varieties include 23 species of native hardwoods, eight evergreen species and 15 smaller trees and shrubs. For more information or to purchase seedlings, visit nursery.iowadnr.gov.
