DES MOINES, Iowa - An Iowa crop progress report says corn and soybean crops remain slightly behind average in development.
The latest report says corn skiling or beyond was 87%, which is two days behind last year and the five-year average. 30% has only reached the dough stage, six days behind last year and three days behind the average.
Soybeans remain six day behind last year when it comes to setting pods. More information on Iowa's crop progress can be found at nass.usda.gov.
