JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. - The pandemic may be over, but it's affects are still being felt in Missouri.

According to an annual report from the state Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, 2021-22 test scores fell short of performing at pre-pandemic levels.

However, compared to the prior year, proficiency levels in math and science increased slightly across the board.

The report shows that 43% of students are success-ready in English, 40% in Social Studies, 39% in Math and 38% in science. These scores are preliminary and a detailed report showing results by district will be released in December.
