COLUMBUS, Neb. - Scammers are on the prowl once again, as the Nebraska Public Power District is asking their power customers, and the public, to be aware.
Media relations specialist for the NPPD Grant Otten says that they do not ask for payment over the phone.
They ask customers for credit card numbers, demand payment with a pre-paid card, go door-to-door demanding payment, or except payment from apps like Venmo.
